Monika Falcon

The diverse and adept young Lithuanian-Turkmen soprano Monika Falcon began a successful and prominent career as a singer, actress, and television personality at the tender age of 3, performing with orchestra during, and going on to win the audience and grand prizes of the esteemed national competition “Dainų Dainelė”, at the national opera house in Vilnius. Since that time, Miss Falcon has toured as a singer, appeared in televised music programs, videos, hosted regular television programs, and is a national personality in Lithuania.


Upon deciding to move into classical vocal performance, Monika made her debut as Nedda in “I Pagliacci” in Germany with Opera Classica Europa, and, in 2019, covered the role of Desdemona at Baden-Baden in a new production by Robert Wilson with the Berlin Philharmonic, conducted by Maestro Zubin Mehta. Due to her work in Baden-Baden, Maestro Mehta invited her immediately to work with him in Berlin, again with the Philharmonic, and to take over a contract as the soprano soloist in Verdi’s Messa di Requiem for performances in Firenze, Italy.


Monika made an acclaimed role, house and Italian debut as the title role of Verdi’s Aïda, at the Ravenna Festival - Teatro Comunale Alighieri, in a new production by Cristina Mazzavillani Muti. Of her performances, acclimations included Opera Magazine contending that "Aida was sung by Monika Falcon with both sensitivity and determination" (John- Pierre Joyce).

In reprising the role of Aïda last season in a staged production in Germany with the Brno Opera Orchestra, The Gazet wrote that Ms. Falcon is a “gem of a singer”.


Other appearances in recent seasons in Lithuania include as a principal guest soloist in the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet - Vilnius' International Opera Gala, in a duet and solo orchestral concert with the Kaunas Philharmonic, and in upcoming solo orchestral recital concerts at the Raudondvaris Castle, and the Philharmonic, in Kaunas.


Ms. Falcon also made her role debut as Santuzza (Cavalleria Rusticana) with the Hradec Králové Philharmonic Orchestra, in concert performances in Wiesbaden, DE, and the symphony hall in Hradec Králové, CZ.


Last season, Monika made her orchestral concert debut as Leonora in La Forza del Destino with the Thüringer Philharmonie at the Wiesbaden Marktkirche.


In coming seasons, Ms. Falcon will reprise Leonora, as well as debut in Verdi's MacBeth as Lady MacBeth, with other upcoming roles to be performed in the USA t o include Cio-Cio San (Madama Butterfly), Liu (Turandot), and Lisa in Tchaikovsky's Pique Dame.


Monika Falcon resides in Kaunas, Lithuania, and in New York City.
