TIME OUT NEW YORK® INTRO TO OPERA SERIES
Check out this series of friendly, fun, info-packed discussions with City Opera insiders, designed to demystify opera. We’ll explore its basic components, and point out what to look and listen for in the performance that follows. Each 45-minute talk is followed by light refreshments. Subscribe to the entire series and receive a complimentary copy of The Rough Guide to Opera.

City Opera Dramaturg Cori Ellison hosts this series of engaging conversations with the visionaries behind our new productions and important revivals. Previous guest speakers have included Francesca Zambello, Mark Morris, John Conklin, and Charles Wuorinen.
TARGET® FAMILY SERIES
City Opera is thrilled to announce the second year of our exciting partnership with TARGET. Our popular family workshops will be held on the Grand Promenade of the New York State Theater, allowing more people to join all the fun! These interactive hour-long pre-matinee workshops with City Opera musicians, singers, and teaching staff will introduce families to the exciting world of musical drama. Lunch is included at all workshops as well as a year-long subscription to Time Out New York Kids.
Adults purchasing a subscription will receive one free subscription for a child ages 6 – 12. Additional children’s subscriptions may be purchased at a 50% discount.
