City Opera Gift Shop and Gift Certificates

The main City Opera Gift Shop is located on the Promenade of the New York State Theater and is open to ticketholders before performances, at intermission, and after matinee performances. Merchandise is also available at kiosks throughout the theater.

During the City Opera season, there is also a gift shop in the lobby of the New York State Theater. Hours during the season are daily, 11:00am—5:00pm. Hours are subject to change.

City Opera also has an online e-shop, offering a selection of merchandise from our in-theater Gift Shop. Click here to visit the e-shop.

City Opera offers paper Gift Certificates through our E-Shop or by calling (212) 870-4084. These may be redeemed at the New York City Opera Box Office or at the Gift Shop.

Supertitles

Understanding the plot is never a problem at City Opera. Whether sung in a foreign language or in English, all operas benefit from supertitles projected above the stage. Supertitles are simultaneous English translations projected using state-of-the-art technology. So, while the artists keep you totally involved in the action, supertitles keep you hanging on every word.
