Join us as a Patron of New York City Opera and experience all that this innovative company has to offer. Patrons have a principal role in the life of City Opera and, in recognition of their generosity, enjoy many exclusive privileges including access to premium location performance tickets, passes to private dress rehearsals, invitations to Opening Night Patron parties and Green Room dinners, as well as opportunities to meet company artists and to become personally involved in the life of City Opera.
Even sold-out houses cover only half our costs, but with the help of our Patrons we can continue to offer innovative new productions of classic and contemporary operas while keeping ticket prices affordable. Patrons also provide the means for us to nurture young American singers, to showcase composers emerging in the world of American opera, and to expand our reach to new audiences through our award-winning education programs in the public schools.

Associate Patron
Patrons making gifts of $1,500 and above are entitled to the following privileges:

Contributor Patron
Patrons making gifts of $3,000 and above are entitled to the following additional privileges:
- Invitation to one Pre-Rehearsal Talk, part of the Council Lunch and Lecture series
Sponsor Patron
Patrons making gifts of $5,000 and above are entitled to the following additional privileges:
- Invitations to two Pre-Rehearsal Talks
- Opportunity to host a private City Opera reception or dinner in your home
Sustaining Patron
Patrons making gifts of $7,500 and above are entitled to the following additional privileges:
- Invitations to three Pre-Rehearsal Talks
- Opportunity to use the Green Room for a private party, free of charge***
- Membership in FEDORA, an international federation of 25 opera houses
- Invitation to one George Manahan Talk, a presentation on composers and their works
Benefactor Patron
Patrons making gifts of $10,000 and above are entitled to the following additional privileges:
- Invitations to all Pre-Rehearsal Talks
- Invitations to all George Manahan Talks
- Private concerts with City Opera artists held in the homes of Council and Board members
- Recognition on Bravo poster outside Green Room
- Invitation to City Opera’s private end-of-season party
- Discussions on art and culture with members of City Opera’s distinguished Advisory Committee
* Patrons who wish to decline goods and services which are non-deductible will not receive a backstage tour (value of $24 for two people).
**Priority for season subscriptions and ticket orders increases with each Patron level.
***Patron is responsible for all food and labor costs.
Gift Options
Patrons are welcome to pledge their annual support and to fulfill their pledge in installments over the course of a year. City Opera also welcomes gifts of securities.
