As part of its mission to make the art form accessible to the widest possible audience, City Opera is proud to offer full-time students 29 and under four ways to experience opera at its best.
City Opera's Half Price Ticket Program offers any available seats to students at half price
one week prior to the performance. Purchase tickets online or call CenterCharge at
(212) 721-6500. Half price student tickets only available on seats priced at $45 and up.
Student Rush offers a limited number of $16 tickets based on availability, on sale the day of each performance at the State Theater Box Office. Students can check availability in advance by calling
(212) 870-5630.
School Theatre Ticket Program (STTP) is another half-price ticket option to students for
select performances when accompanied by an STTP voucher. Vouchers are distributed by schools; teachers can ask
to receive vouchers by calling (212) 354-4722.
Group Options allow student, school, and university groups of 20 or more to take advantage
of discounts off the full ticket price and to order well in advance of all other student ticket options.
Groups also have access to study guides, backstage tours, meet-the-artist programs, and more. For more information,

We regret that the Student Coalition ticket program has been discontinued. Please take
advantage of one of the other programs listed above for student tickets to New York City Opera.
