Policy
Tickets to evening performances cannot be ordered on our website after 3:00pm on the day of the performance, and no later than 11:30am for a matinee performance. Please call the Box Office at (212) 870-5570 for assistance.

Tuesday: Saturday: 10:00am – 8:30pm
Sunday: 11:30am – 7:30pm
On domestic orders, we must have 7 days between receipt of the order and the performance date in order for your tickets to be mailed to you. Orders received fewer than 7 days prior to the earliest performance requested will be held at the Box Office for pick-up. Foreign orders will not be mailed. All foreign orders must be picked up at the Box Office any time prior to the performance. If you have questions concerning your order, please contact the Box Office at (212) 870-5570.
All ticket sales are final. Once orders are processed, no refunds will be made.
Big Deal
Our Big Deal program is for 21 – 39 year olds only. Tickets may be purchased up to 2 weeks in advance of a performance. Big Deal members receive the best available seating at the time of purchase and may purchase a maximum of 2 tickets per opera. You must present your ID or your Big Deal membership card at the box office in order to pick up your tickets.
Students
Student half-price tickets are available up to 1 week in advance of a performance for students ages 29 and under. Students may only purchase 2 half-price tickets per ID. Student ID is required to pick up tickets. Rush ticket seating is based on availability.
All orders are subject to a handling fee -- $12 per subscription order, $6 per Big Deal membership order,
or $5.50 per ticket on all individual and student ticket purchases.
Exchange Policy
City Opera subscribers in the Premium Orchestra, First, Second, Third, and Fourth Ring (Rows A-F) can exchange tickets free of charge within the same section of the house up to 24-hours in advance. Subscribers in the Front Side Orchestra, Side Orchestra, and Fourth Ring Side can exchange tickets to any other performance up to 24-hours in advance but not within these sections due to limited availability. If you would like to purchase a subscription package in the Front Side, Side Orchestra, or Fourth Ring Side sections, you can exchange any of your tickets by either paying the difference into another higher priced section of the house or into a lower priced section of the house where the difference in price is retained by City Opera as a donation.
